Book Club Final Project

YAY! Our first round of book clubs is finished! I am very impressed with this first "Practice Round" and I know each round we will get better and more prepared.


 Today you are going to be working in your groups to create a final project over your book club book. This is going to be a "Movie Poster". They will be used to advertise your book's upcoming movie to the students in our school. You will need to draw the students attention visually and let them know what kind of movie it is.

Project Information: A movie poster ad! On paper or on the computer (your choice). If it is on the computer be aware that it will be pretty small.

It needs to have the following:

1. Title of the Book should be large and stand out
2. One sentence that grabs the readers attention
3. Type of Movie (comedy, romance, drama, thriller, science fiction..)
4. Your names listed as the directors
5. A major illustration or picture that shows an important or exciting part
6. 1 quote from the text
7. A lesson or moral the movie watchers will learn
8. Movie stars who will play the main characters are listed
9. A star rating out of 5 that experts (you) have rated it

Hints:
Look up examples of movie posters to see how the artists have created an appealing design that catches peoples eye and gets them interested in watching the movie.

DO a rough draft first so that you do not have to start over, you are only getting one piece of poster board.
