It is the last day of the quarter which means a few things. First, Monday your students will be getting new Tiger Time Enrichment classes. We will let them know and get them where they need to be. Second, the books goals for the quarter ended today, We had goals of 4 books (on their level) a quarter. Along with that the students have been doing reading responses to show their thinking throughout their reading. Below I added a picture to illustrate why reading each day is so vital to helping your child read educational goals.
Next week:
Reading will focus on theme of a text and writing theme statements
Writing will focus on getting through the drafting process with our narratives
They will also be focusing on paragraph formatting and writing dialogue
Robotics Update:
Robotics team is well underway, We have put our Robotics order in for the kits and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival. We had a fun practice this week learning about the presentation portion of the competition and picking our group topics, One group chose to deal with how trash impacts our community. The other group chose to look at electronic waste. We can not wait to see what solutions they come up with.
