I hope you are all looking forward to a beautiful weekend. Next week is our last week of 3rd quarter. The students will be wrapping up this grading cycle. I will be updating grades throughout the week and students will be retesting and regrading some of the assignments so grades will be changing. On this quarters grade we will have the following..
- Figurative Language Pretest (not weighted in the grade book. It is to show progress)
- Figurative Language Summative- 100pts
- Colonial Investigation- 100 pts students did research and created a page of information over one of the 13 colonies
- Colonial Essay- 100pts students turned their investigation into an informational essay over the colony.
This week:
This week wraps up our Fabulous February here at Upper. The students have been rewarded every Friday with a longer recess if they have no D-card signatures for the week. They got to enjoy some beautiful days! Those that did have signatures used that opportunity to write a goal sheet for making a better choice or to write an apology letter.
We also finished up our Pennies for Patients and we are extremely impressed with the amount of change brought in and thank you all for your support!
Next Week:
- Robotics Tryouts are MONDAY or TUESDAY (whichever day is best for you) from 3-4 PM here at Upper
- Students will continue a unit on Main Idea, Perspective, and Opinion
