Friday Update

This week we started our focus on Figurative Language. We began by discussing poetry and how to find deeper meaning by Close Reading. Students got a chance to read over 3 poems (songs) and find figurative language and analyze the meanings of the songs. We also finished up our investigations over the 13 colonies (examples below).
